Colin Pool Memorial Trophy Presentation at Historic Motorsport International
Presentation of the “Spirit de la Sarthe” Trophy will take place on Friday, 16th February at Historic Motorsport International which is being held alongside the London Classic Car Show at ExCeL in London. The ceremony will be at 5.00 pm on the Safeguard stage.
Aston Martin / Prodrive are the recipients of the trophy this year, based on their fantastic performance in the 2017 Le Mans 24 Hours, claiming the GTE Pro class win right at the end of the race. The Aston will be on display and it is hoped that the star drivers, Jonny Adam and Darren Turner, will be on hand to accept the award.
Michael Scott of the 96 Club, and the founder of TIGOSE, instigated the idea of the trophy in memory of Colin Pool “to be awarded for the most meritorious British performance in the 24 Hours”. Michael has made all the arrangements for the presentation and has kindly organised complimentary tickets for Club des Pilotes du Mans – Britannique Members which give access to both shows. To apply for your tickets, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please come along to ExCeL on Friday 16th February to support the tribute in memory of Colin – there will be plenty to see at both shows during the afternoon and evening!
