TIGOSE Crafts Bespoke Membership for Morgan Motor Company
Legendary British Sports Car Maker Becomes First OEM (Vehicle) Member of The International Guild of Specialist Engineers
Morgan Motor Company, the world-famous and last coach-built British sports car maker, has become the first vehicle manufacturer of The International Guild of Specialist Engineers (TIGOSE), and was part of The Guild’s showcase at this year’s London Classic Car Show (14th to 17th February, 2019).
Morgan, which this year celebrates its landmark 110th anniversary, was represented by award-winning dealership London Morgan, with the 110 Anniversary Roadster and iconic 3-Wheeler taking pride of place in the TIGOSE hub at the Excel show. Steve Morris, managing director of MMC, also attended the opening day of the show, Thursday, driving the last Plus 8 V8 on the Grand Avenue.
Michael Scott, the founder of TIGOSE, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Morgan into the TIGOSE family. As the oldest privately-owned manufacturer producing hand-built traditional British sports cars, Morgan embodies The Guild’s principles, championing all the specialist engineering skills needed for traditional coach-building.
Morgan’s excellent in-house apprenticeships fit in exactly with the TRAILBLAZER Heritage Engineering Technician training scheme, which is supported by TIGOSE. This is another reason why The Guild is so pleased to welcome them as its first OEM member.”
