A Great Weekend at The Silverstone Classic With the TIGOSE HUB
Finally after trying for 2 years, we are pleased to be able to report that with the support of Martin Greaves owner of Classic Performance Engineering and a director of the GUILD, we provided the TIGOSE HUB at the Silverstone Classic, where members and guests could relax, shelter from the elements and enjoy some refreshments. The Hub was located in the Classic Performance Engineering Truck and Awning in the National Paddock at Silverstone.
The Silverstone Classic weekend is, of course famous, for its historic motor racing, with over 1,000 entries for races across the weekend watched by more than 100,000 spectators. However, the event is also a focal point for Classic cars, with a superb display this year in the infield of Lotuses, Maseratis, Ferraris and Aston Martins amongst other marques. We’re told that a good 10,000 spectators visited the display.
With such big crowds, the TIGOSE HUB really proved its worth, being busy from Thursday through to Sunday. Over 40 GUILD members and their guests joined us to watch the action and take the time to just chat with friends and fellow enthusiasts. The CPE engineers and customers also enjoyed the hospitality, and there was plenty to see as the cars went out for, and came back in, their respective races.
A big thank you to all the team at CPE and Nick Wigley, event director of The Silverstone Classic, who provided the perfect location for us at this sensational sporting race week.
